Start with the vaccination card
Bring your child’s vaccination card to each visit. Your doctor can review it against Pakistan’s national immunisation schedule and advise on any missed doses. A missed appointment does not necessarily mean starting a course again.
Ask about vaccine availability before coming in. Tell the clinician about previous vaccine reactions, allergies and any current illness.
After the visit
Mild soreness or a low fever can happen after some vaccines. Ask your clinician what is expected and what to do if you are concerned. Difficulty breathing or swelling of the face or throat requires immediate emergency care.
Adults may also need vaccination advice, including flu and tetanus cover. Recommendations depend on age, medical history and individual circumstances.
